Janet Kilonzo is a Kenyan-Rwandese Actor currently based in New York City.
Janet’s acting journey began in primary school and advanced on to her acceptance at the National Youth Theatre in Great Britain during the Summer of 2017.
Soon after, Janet moved to the States after being accepted into the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, NY. Post graduation from the Academy Janet has gone on to act in TV, Film, Voice over and Theatre projects.
Janet has worked with numerous professional Theatres including, The WP Theatre, The Arctic Cycle, The National Queer Theatre. She continues to strengthen her craft by pursuing work that provokes, entices people and aids her growth as an actor.
Janet has enjoyed being on stage from a young age and uses her hobbies and fruitful culture to fuel all that she does both on screen and stage. She always has a fun time picking up phrases in different languages and adapting them to her own.
Janet most recently reprised the role of 'Achan' in 'The Survival' at the Perelman Performing Arts Centre this past summer.
Day to day Janet works as a Children's Theatre educator running Shakespeare classes and directing musicals such as 'Seusssical', 'Lion King' and currently High School Musical and Finding Nemo!
